The buzz is real here at Spark Lab Robotics and Coding Academy in Lake Forest! We're incredibly excited to announce our very first Open House, and our team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes, preparing an unforgettable day filled with hands-on discovery and STEM fun for our community.
What to Expect: A Day of Discovery and Hands-On Fun!
This isn't just a tour – it's an interactive experience! We've lined up a fantastic array of activities designed for curious minds of all ages and skill levels. Whether your child is taking their very first step into coding or is already a robotics enthusiast, there will be something to spark their imagination.
During the Open House, you'll have the chance to:
- Explore Our World of Robotics: Get hands-on with our cutting-edge robotics kits, including VEX GO, LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential, Sphero indi, Sphero BOLT+, VEX IQ, and LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime. See these incredible tools in action and even try your hand at controlling them!
- Dive into Programming: Discover the magic of coding through engaging, interactive stations. From beginner-friendly block-based programming with Scratch and Microsoft MakeCode to introductory challenges in Python and Java, there's a coding adventure waiting.
- Game Development Zone: For aspiring game designers, we'll have activities showcasing Minecraft Coding and ROBLOX Studio. See how easy (and fun!) it is to start building your own virtual worlds.
- STEM Challenges & Giveaways: Put your problem-solving skills to the test with exciting STEM challenges and enter for a chance to win some awesome giveaways!
- Meet the Team: Chat with our passionate instructors, including our founder, a software engineer with extensive experience from Google and Microsoft, and a California CTE teaching certificate. Learn about our teaching philosophy and how we make learning impactful and fun.
